Waita is a 2006 Salthouse 52, designed by Bob Salthouse and built by Salthouse Marine in Auckland. Previously known as Pacific Pearl, she has had two owners from new and is offered with NZ taxes paid. She is powered by twin MTU Series 60 engines at 825 hp each, with 2,200 hours, both serviced in July 2026. She cruises at 25 knots and reaches 30 knots flat out, with bow and stern thrusters for easy berthing. Her standout feature is a 4,000L fuel capacity, which is exceptional for a vessel of her size. It gives her the range to reach the Far North, the Great Barrier, or the Marlborough Sounds without planning around fuel stops. With 900 L of water, a hybrid watermaker, and a 1.25 m draft, she is set up for extended coastal and island cruising.

The electronics were fully upgraded to Furuno in 2023. The package includes radar, autopilot, a 2-3 kW CHIRP sounder, and a mobile helm station. Starlink, Fusion audio, and cameras covering the engine room, cockpit, and anchor were added at the same time. The Victron battery and charging system is new as of 2025, and the Onan 13.5 kVA generator was serviced in July 2026. For fishing she has a custom game chair, fixed game poles, cockpit fridges, a freezer, and an ice maker. There is a 4m center-console tender with a Yamaha 40 hp on a Davco davit.

Below deck there are three cabins with 2.2 m of headroom. Two are doubles with ensuites, and the third has two singles, and she sleeps 10 in total. She has three electric heads and four showers. The galley has a dishwasher and a full bar, and air conditioning and a washer/dryer are fitted throughout. She is serviced annually and ready to use. Waita is currently berthed at J3, Tutukaka Marina.
