SAILING EXPERIENCE

The First 27 promises great performance and a unique sailing experience, capable of planning at as little as 12 knots of wind. With special attention to where the weight is placed, the design is intended to maximise performance and keep it clean and organised. Features such as the clean cockpit layout and deck gear mean this boat is simple to sail while providing a fun, easily managed experience for all. She’s stable and safe thanks to an unsinkable hull with three insubmersability chambers, a crash box, an inboard engine, and balanced twin rudders for complete control. Whether you’re keen to take a crew out racing or family and friends up the coast, this is a versatile, seaworthy design that is easy to set up and sail.

INTERIOR

Inside, the layout includes a sleeping room for up to 6 adults, with two in the bow cabin and 4 in the saloon. The interior is a very bright and airy space equipped with a removable table and fridge, a galley gas burner, and a fresh water sink. A foldable magnetic door in the midsection can be cleverly converted to a marine toilet with a black water tank or else used as a front cabin extension. The cockpit welcomes convertible benches, a removable table, and a swim ladder with shower. All in all it makes for a clever cruiser/ racer with space for family or friends to enjoy.
