European Yacht of the Year: Multihull category EXCESS 15
The crème de la crème of international yacht awards. The Excess 15 has been nominated in the Multihull category.
“[The Excess 15] is intended to offer a more active sailing experience and is geared toward a younger audience. They sport twin helm stations and high-aspect sail plans with the mast far aft, allowing for rather large self-tacking jibs. Being the biggest of the new breed the Excess 15 is also the most generous. The living quarters resemble a modern designer hotel, looking both airy and open. Certainly, a niche if not a veritable space in the market formerly unaddressed.” European Yacht of the Year Awards.
Sail Magazine: Multihull Cruiser category EXCESS 12
The objective of SAIL magazine is to offer the public a broad vision of the boating industry. The Excess 12 is positioned in the Multihulls Cruising category and is looking to win the title of "Best Boat 2020" against her opponents.
“[Excess] are still very much their own boats, thanks to such features as twin outboard helm stations set well aft (in many ways the mark of a true performance cat), just a hint of reverse sheer to complement the boats’ plumb bows, and a high-aspect rig and square-top main. The company also equips each boat with a clever retractable roof in the cabin trunk aft to further open things up in nice weather.” Sail Magazine.
Multihulls World Magazine – Multihull of the year (Up to 40 Feet) EXCESS 12
Multihulls World magazine, in partnership with the International Multihull Show, are responsible for the Multihull of the Year Awards 2020. For her launch, the Excess 12 has been nominated in the category of Multihulls under 40 feet. This election is just for Multihulls and is open to anyone, allowing sailors from all horizons to choose their favorite boat.
British Yachting Awards: Multihull of the Year EXCESS 15
The British Yachting Awards 2019 is back this year, and honors the Excess 15 in its Multihull of the Year category.
“The Excess 15 is a yacht that parent company Lagoon believe will be a game changer. Stripped out and sportier than yachts in the Lagoon range, this is still a comfortable cruiser with an emphasis on fun.” British Yachting Awards.
Awards are drawn in the January/ December period. Keep an eye out for results, and get voting!
